The Hawkeye Pledge of Excellence

Excellence is more than how we perform on the firing line—it is reflected in how we prepare, compete, serve, and conduct ourselves every day.

For that reason, we ask every person associated with the Central Arkansas Hawkeyes—athletes, coaches, volunteers, and parents—to commit to our Pledge of Excellence.

This pledge reflects the standards by which we want to be known: as competitors of character, responsible representatives of our program, and positive members of the shooting sports community.

The Hawkeye Pledge of Excellence reflects the standards we expect from everyone who represents the Central Arkansas Hawkeyes.

We ask athletes, parents, coaches, and volunteers to take a moment to read the pledge carefully, discuss it together, and commit themselves to the principles it represents. These words are intended to guide how we prepare, compete, serve, support one another, and conduct ourselves both on and off the firing line.

Our pledge is more than a statement on a page. It expresses who we strive to be as Hawkeyes and the kind of character, sportsmanship, responsibility, and excellence we expect from every member of our organization.

Hawkeye Pledge of Excellence

As a Central Arkansas Hawkeye, I will compete safely, give my best, and honor those around me.

I choose:

• focus over distraction,
• discipline over excuses,
• patience over frustration,
• responsibility over blame,
• self-control over emotion,
• humility over pride,
  and integrity in all things.

I will represent my family, my team, and my community with character.
